The Advancing Hispanic Excellence in Technology, Engineering, Math, and Science (AHETEMS) Scholarship Program is offering both merit and need-based scholarships of $1,000-5,000 to Latino students. Applicants can be high school seniors or college undergraduate or graduate students. All applicants should "demonstrate both significant motivation and aptitude for a career in science, technology, engineering or mathematics."Scholarships available include the following: AHETEMS General Scholarships AHETEMS Dissertation Scholarships AHETEMS Professional Scholarships AHETEMS/ExxonMobil Scholarships AHETEMS/Kellogg Scholarships AHETEMS/Northrop Grumman Scholarships AHETEMS/U.S. Steel Scholarships AHETEMS/Verizon Scholarships While multiple scholarships are available, students only need to complete a single application, which can be completed on paper or online. Criteria for the scholarships vary, but all require a minimum GPA of 3.0. The application deadline is April 1, 2009.
