Words of Wisdom Essay Contest

The 2009 Words of Wisdom Essay Contest will offer students the chance to win one of 10 scholarships of $10,000 each. The contest is "open to current and prospection students of America's participating black colleges and universities." Students will compete based on an essay of 750-1,000 words written in response of the following prompt: "The election of our country's first African American president is proof that the dream of change can become a reality. As a people, we've shown what we can do when called upon for change. How are you being called to build upon this new spirit of change?" All essays must be submitted by February 15th, 2009.
