The AXA Achievement Scholarship offers students from across the country to win scholarships of $10,000-$25,000 each. More specifically, the scholarships are for "high school seniors who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in their activities in school, the community or the workplace."
As part of their application, students are asked to one of their outstanding non-academic achievements. You can read about some of last year's winners to get a better idea of what might be likely to help you win.
Scholarship winners typically share the following criteria:
- Ambition and drive
- Determination to set and reach goals
- Respect for self, family and community
- Ability to succeed in college
