VFW Voice of Democracy Scholarship for 2011

The Voice of Democracy Scholarship Contest is a chance for students to win up to $30,000. The contest is now open, and the deadline for entry is November 1, 2011.

To enter, students complete an audio essay on a given topic. Essays must run between three and 5 min. Entrants must be sponsored by a VFW chapter, but the scholarship webpage offers a tool to help students find a sponsor.

This a great chance for students to win a whole lot of money, and there are lesser scholarships available for students who don't win the grand prize.
